Woven from herbs and flowers, decorated with bright ribbons and endowed with magical properties,

the Ukrainian wreath is a vibrant and powerful symbol of my country. 
The selection of colours of the ribbons is symbolic. A light brown symbolizes the Earth. Yellow - the Sun. Green - beauty and youth. Blue - the sky and water. Orange - a symbol of bread, purple - wisdom, pink - wellbeing and prosperity.
But the war brought terror and violence to my country and sucked away joy, happiness and colour.

My wreath is colourless, with the only colour of the blood at the ribbons’ ends ruthlessly cut by the enemy.

It is fragile and sad but still intact. It is a symbol of hope that one day Ukraine will celebrate victory and the colours will return.
